We first heard the news in February of Kid Cudi announcing that he had parted ways with Plain Pat and producer Emile due to creative differences. He then tweeted that a new venture between him and Dot Da Genius was in the works.

Just last night in New York City, Cudi announced the name of his new imprint, Wicked Awesome Records. Along with the new label, he broke the news that he had formed a new band called, 2 Be Continuum, formerly known as Wizard. "I needed something more original, something different, but it’s still wizardry at its finest."

Cudi also gave insight on his upcoming album where he told the jam-packed Roseland Ballroom crowd, "I’ve only been playing guitar for 9 months but the records are epic, epic, I’m really excited. We gunna have that first single for you soon." Wizard is slated for release later this year.
