As great as he is, hawking products in raps doesn't always turn out that great.

No matter what Snoop Dogg does for the rest of his life, he'll always be a hip-hop legend. Tha Doggfather has dropped classic albums, singles, and videos. He is still one of hip-hop's greatest personalities and one of the biggest rap stars in the world. For all those reasons, and many more, we'll always love Snoop.

But that doesn't mean we can excuse the way he has shamelessly promoted just about any product that has come his way over the years. Don't get us wrong, Snoop has a few classic rap commericals (like this one, for a German company we never heard of) but then there are... some of the other ones. You know, those cringe-worthy moments where he raps about a product and it's obvious he's on auto-pilot, waiting to grab the next check, and smoke the next blunt. With his new album Doggumentary in stores this week, we decided to look back at some of Snoop's terrible ad songs with Ad Skills: Snoop Dogg's 5 Worst Jingles.

#5. Pepsi NFL Commerical (2011)

Worst Line: "I know Mike Tomlin, he dying for the win/And Ike Taylor, he might bear a champions' grin."

Complex says: A number of other rappers did ads during last year's NFL playoffs (including Big Boi and Lupe Fiasco), but despite running a youth football league and being the king of cool and even Snoop sounds forced when he's trying to rap about football.

#4. Orange Mobile (2008)

Worst Line: “Poppin Cristal, flashin my money/I’m givin mad love, ridin with my honeys.”

Complex says: Thankfully, Snoop barely spits a single bar in this ad before getting cut off. And yet, it somehow still gets worse. Everything else that happens afterward is that “crusty old white dude rapping” borderline racist.

#3. True Blood (2010)

Worst Line: “Sookie Stackhouse, with Snoopy Stack-a-grip/Sam ain’t a man, he done turned into a bitch.”

Complex says: In case you’re not familiar with True Blood, the Sam that Snoop is a referring to is Sam Merlotte—a shapeshifter who often turns into a dog. Which we guess is why Snoop says Sam turned into a bitch. But then again, didn’t Snoop also shapeshift into a dog in the video for “What’s My Name”?

#2. Pepsi Max (2010)

Worst Line: “I’m up to my knees in zero calories.”

Complex says: Yeah, we know. Snoop only spits two bars. But the first one is literally one of the worst rap lines we've ever heard.

#1. Air New Zealand (2011)

Worst Line: “From Cali to Kiwi, we do it big in the New Z.”

Complex says: We have so many questions to ask about this ad. Like, why does this puppet sound like Borat? Did that puppet actually murder Snoop on his own shit? But mainly, why Snoop? Why? Didn't you make enough off that Katy Perry feature to pay off the 600K you owe Uncle Sam?
