Sought after member of English three-piece band The xx is about to put out the remix LP of a lifetime. Jamie Smith is remixing Gil Scott-Heron's "NY Is Killing Me" on his upcoming remix album, We're Here Now, dropping February 22 in the U.S. and February 21 in the UK via XL/Young Turks.

Smith is not only remixing songs from Scott-Heron's comeback album for We're Here Now, he's also decided to dig into the crates and rework older classics from the legendary poet and musician.

The young producer is also working with another young artist we're all pretty familiar with—Drake. "Yeah, he was in London two weeks ago and we went to the studio. He played his new stuff, I played my new stuff. He's not just after making a hit album again, he really wants to make things we've never heard before," said Smith in a recently interview with Pitchfork. "I think I'll be flying to New York or Toronto to work with him in a few weeks. I'm happy to try new things, that's what this year is about."
