Ice Cube "Man's Best Friend" (1991)

Complex says: Way before Cube started getting that TBS money he was in a South Central state of mind and ready to kill at will. On “Man’s Best Friend” he plays off of the popular phrase "A dog is a man's best friend" by replacing the canine with a firearm. In two verses, Cube tries to convince the listener that it’s foolish to elect the dog before the steel. The best reason he offers? A dog will shit in your den. Good point!
