The Native Tongues are hip-hop nerds to the fullest. Their songs are inundated with references to old-school tracks, with some even lifting and reshaping entire lines and choruses: "It's Yours" is a tasteful homage to T. La Rock. It's another another track that was somehow left off of Beats, Rhymes, and Life even though it might have strengthened the project had it been included.

#63 used to be my joint...bumped it in the whip constantly...that is an example of a hip-hop song that is perfected, stripped down beats and rhymes....crazy
