Before it was cool for your average East Coast rapper to casually equate selling records to serving dope to fiends, average rappers like Chi-Ali had to come up with different justifications for existing. Actually, in the case of Chi, the Beatnuts and Dres provided most of the lyrics. The Beatnuts also did the production on both the album version and the remix; both are top-notch tracks. The remix is perhaps most notable for being recorded just in time to take advantage of the fact that a few months earlier Guru had made the profound observation that "lemonade was a popular drink and it still is."
