Elite's sing-song flow and introspective lyricism remind us of (a) Brother Ali if his tone of voice was a notch down, or (b) Slug (of Atmosphere) if he was a bit less angry. From Byram, Connecticut, the 27-year-old artist has worked as an in-house producer for the R---Ruff Ryders not Rhymesayers---producing tracks for many of the label's top artists (DMX, Drag-On, Jadakiss, Styles P). His work during that period can be found on his recent effort The Groundwork. Lately, he's been working closely with Roc Nation's J.Cole (co-producing "Who Dat" and "See World"), and promptly sets off his solo path with "Judas," where he explores his constantly bickering creative psyche, and applies the song as a testament to reassure his talents as an artist. Check out the accompanying visual above.
