Complex says: Most hip-hop fans were first introduced to 50 Cent and his G-Unit cohorts via mixtape cuts and "Banks Victory" was easily the most notable. If you didn't know who was who, you would have been excused for confusing 50 with Banks, because this verse made him sound like the guy Eminem and Dr. Dre had just signed to a million-dollar deal. Even Diddy—whose beat got jacked for the mixtape classic—had to give it up: When he dropped Bad Boy's 10th Anniversary...The Hits in '04, he included a mash-up of his original version with G-Unit's mixtape cut, titled "Victory 2004 (Remix)." Although that version never meshed properly, it was still an open invitation for Banks' best verse to play right next to one of Biggie's better verses. True G-Unit soldiers can attest: Lloyd Banks' verse on "Banks Victory" is legendary.
