Locked up for: Shooting up a fuckin' nightclub
Complex says: After 50 Cent blew up in 2003, gangsta rappers with street cred and an interesting life story were in demand, and the already-imprisoned Shyne fit the bill perfectly. Interest in him peaked when Def Jam put up millions to buy out a dude who wouldn't get released until earlier this year. Godfather Buried Alive came out to much hype, but the album itself sounded slapped together and generally pretty terrible. After Shyne got out of jail and was deported to Belize earlier this year, his music has only sounded worse and worse. Of course, that didn't stop Def Jam from giving him even more money and signing him to another deal. In the immortal words of Antoine Dodson, "You are so dumb. You are really dumb."
