Charged With Assault, Again (2002)
What happened? It was deja vu all over again when Fat Joe was arrested for assault in 2002. According to police, Fat Joe and an accomplice got into an altercation with a man at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill, which resulted in Joe rocking dude's jaw. Although Joe confirmed an altercation had occurred that night, he claimed he walked out when shit popped off and had had nothing to do with it. A short while later, the charges were dropped due to lack of evidence.
Complex says: Not only did Joe beat two assault charges, he's also been named as a witness in two different murder cases, and has yet to serve a day in jail because of any of those cases. If you ask us, by the looks of it, Don Cartagena is rap's true Teflon Don.

Pap did not fuck joe up. listen to the casssidy interview with miss jones. pap sucker punched joe and he got fucked up. and his man's caught a buck50 across the jaw. pap lost his expensive watch too. the beef was later sqashed later that night and joe gave him back his watch due to their mutual friend Kay Slay.

I remember reading an interview with Fif back in '99 and he mentioned The Terror Squad and made some disparaging remarks about them so I'm guessing this beef goes back a bit further.

There's a another theory concerning Masta Ace and Fat Joe. I read this years ago that Masta Ace was supposedely making fun of Latin rappers, and thats why Joe ran up on him.
