Lupe Fiasco Forgets The Lyrics To His Tribe Tribute

VH1's Hip Hop Honors has a lovely premise: the younger artists perform their idols' songs. Lupe Fiasco must've missed the memo. Hitting the stage to do Phife's verse from A Tribe Called Quest's "Electric Relaxation," Lupe messed up a few words. Not the worst thing in the world, right? Well, after the message boards over at OkayPlayer started chattering about it, Lupe jumped into the fray, and after each arrogant non-apology from Lupe, it grew into a PR nightmare. Lupe revealed that not only did he not listen to ATCQ growing up (that was his older sister's music!), he was begged by Q-Tip to perform. Oh, except that, in an interview with Miss Info, Q-Tip would say that he simply picked Lupe's name from a list. Whoops.

i'm so sick and tired of people bashing this album. there was nothing wrong with this album. was it different? Yes, but that doesn't make it bad. everyone shot common with bullets for this album being different, but if it wasn't for this album, would we get a Speakerbox?Love Below? would we get a Kid Cudi, and the countless other artist in hip hop that think and do things outside the box when it comes to hip hop

the fact that this got #10 alone shows just how smart Charles was for doing this... any kind of buzz be it for you or against you is good buzz. and that's what charles got from this... def not more embarrassing than Game losing on Change of Heart hahahah.
