WHY IT'S WORTH THE DL: Young Chris is best remembered for his time on the Roc as a part of Young Gunz with Neef (who's been spotted on the back of milk cartons everywhere). He re-emerged on a recording frenzy around 2006, releasing freestyles and tracks at a feverish pace. After a solo album that never saw the light of day, his buzz dropped significantly, but he's still a promising spitter. The original Network with Don Cannon was well received, and Cannon's fresh off linking with Young Jeezy for the dope Trap or Die 2 tape. Expect Chris' strong lyrics, fast-paced rapping, and trademark whisper flow that some say Hov may have snatched a piece of. The backdrop is a mix of gritty drums and sped-up soul samples, and there's beats by Dame Grease, Sean C & LV, Sha Money XL, and more. With the characteristically crazy J. Cole feature on "Still The Hottest," and cuts like "The Moon And Stars," there's no excuse for sleeping.
