Kon Says: A really dope record, slower than "Space Funk," but "Midnight Theme" was the big Manzel break that Cypress Hill used on "How I Could Just Kill A Man." But the first person to use that break was actually Prince Paul on a De La Soul's "Plug Tunin'" [in 1988].
Amir Says: I know people have heard those drums before, but the way Muggs used "Midnight Theme" made people so open that they had to look for that record again.

Also used by the Bomb Squad again on 'Night of the Living Baseheads'. I reckon the Isleys were first with this. JB had a bit of a rep for nicking other people's instrumentals. And replacing a vocal with horn lines seems more likely than the reverse.
