Wrap It Up, B! A History of Hip-Hop's Longest Songs

Jimmy Spicer "The Adventures Of Super Rhyme" Released: 1979
Running Time: 14 minutes 23 seconds
This lyrical superhero story—produced by Russell Simmons and performed by the mogul's early rap protege—was just one of many blatant "Rapper's Delight" rip-offs to come out in the wake of the song's success (a rip-off of a rip-off is still a rip-off!). The saddest part is that the song would have been longer than the Sugarhill Gang's if Jimmy had just held on for 14 more seconds! Quitter.
