Sloppy Seconds: Music's Most Disappointing Sophomore Albums

Snoop Dogg

Snoop Dogg The Doggfather (1996)
DEBUT HYPE: Though young Snoop [Doggy] Dogg had already written a large majority of Dr Dre's The Chronic, 1993's Doggystyle was a coming out party of rare occasion, propelling Snoop straight to super stardom.
SOPHOMORE SLUMP: With Dre having defected from Death Row Records earlier in the year, 1996's The Doggfather sounded foreign and altogether misguided.
WORST SONG: "(Tear 'Em Off) Me & My Doggz"
