Sloppy Seconds: Music's Most Disappointing Sophomore Albums

Hootie & The Blowfish

Hootie & The Blowfish Fairweather Johnson (1996)
DEBUT HYPE: Darius Rucker and co. presented 1994's "diamond" selling Cracked Rear View as warm alternative to grunge's frigid reign.
SOPHOMORE SLUMP: Just two years later, Fairweather Johnson's folly was in trying (lazily, some would argue) to recreate the magic. However, they do deserve some credit for coming up with an album title even more pause-worthy than Cracked Rear View.
WORST SONG: "Tootie"
