B-boying is getting to be like soccer these days—popular around the world but mostly ignored in the U.S. But see, unlike fútbol, we actually created this shit! So maybe it's time we started paying a little more attention to our homegrown head-spinners, pop-lockers, and windmillers. Luckily, the good folks at Red Bull are still keeping breakdancing alive—they recently hosted the Red Bull BC One international b-boy competition in NYC, and enlisted none other than Blastmaster KRS-One to host the event. How fuckin' hip-hop is that???

Fresh off penning a 600-page(!) book titled The Gospel of Hip Hop: First Instrument (buy it now), the Teacha—as always—was in a fine mood to talk. We caught up with him before the Red Bull event to ask him about his breakdancing memories. Read on for KRS-One's favorite b-boys (and girls) of all time....
