You may remember the Providence slam-poet-turned-MC getting aggy that De La named their album Art Official Intelligence after his old live band, but then after some dope if iconoclastic conventional boom-bap with his group Non-Prophets (get it? huh? get it?) he dovetailed with the Rhymesayers/Anticon too-cool-for-school camp, a move leading to multiple albums' worth of introspection and rock-verging solipcism. I don't know what you mean by "One Hit Wonder". Asher's entire album was HOT!!!! I am a black woman who in the past has only given props to Eminem & Everlast, but Asher had the best producers and released an album that was off the chain!
