Princess Superstar
Although Princess Superstar as of late is more likely to be making appearances on cheesy electroclash/house tracks (check "Perfect (Exceeder)" or "Licky"), the Washington Heights-bred MC started her career in the early '90s with a more organic approach to music: a 4-track recorder, sampled loops, and a rap demo cassette that she managed to pass along to Grand Royal Records (Beastie Boys' label at the time). Several filthy verses later, she's currently working on a new album.

I don't know what you mean by "One Hit Wonder". Asher's entire album was HOT!!!! I am a black woman who in the past has only given props to Eminem & Everlast, but Asher had the best producers and released an album that was off the chain!
