Mid-'90s readers of The Source may remember seeing a bizarre full-page ad from this guy and thinking, "Whoa! What the fuck is up with that guy?" Well, here's what's up with him: Armed with a raspy whisper style, horribly clunky rhymes, and basically no swing, the then-45-year-old Wall Street millionaire turned MC allegedly spent 300K of his own money promoting his wretched EP and appeared on Video Music Box and even once on Hot 97. But hey, "Renegade Jew" doesn't have the worst fake-Diamond D beat we've ever heard.

I don't know what you mean by "One Hit Wonder". Asher's entire album was HOT!!!! I am a black woman who in the past has only given props to Eminem & Everlast, but Asher had the best producers and released an album that was off the chain!
