Jay-Z has bodied many a trend in his time—X5s, throwbacks, Diesel jeans, etc.—but he's on a veritable murder spree with Blueprint 3. Having already dismissed Auto-Tune on "D.O.A.," Jigga is taking aim at a host of other trends on "Off That," the just-leaked Timbaland-produced song featuring Drake. But does Jay-Z still hold the weight to sway the masses? Read on to listen to the song and vote on whether you think Jay can kill each trend—yes, he can? Or, no, he can't...

LINE: "I'm so tomorrow. Audemars are yesterday, which means you're on time delay."
COMPLEX SAYS: Jigga co-signed Audemars in "Upgrade U"—now why would he stop jocking the one European brand he can pronounce correctly?

MannyWallace August 24th, 2009 at 05:32 PM
Crazy. I'm sure certain that some people will take to everything Hov says and put it all down, but if you're like me...you can't afford the shit anyways.
Mike August 24th, 2009 at 05:42 PM
Well actually. Older people tell you what's hot. I don't feel some of his lyrics on the track. But he's still killing it.
bigdickcheney August 24th, 2009 at 05:47 PM
What 40 yearold was telling Hov how to dress when he was 16? His idols, like kane and slick rick, were 19-22...

soon enough he'll "off" everything and run out of things to rap about
Tysonz August 24th, 2009 at 06:17 PM
Funny How Jay said it was a death of autotune when Kanye just went platinum off an autotune album now hes saying Timbs are dead when Kanye is tryna bring them into hypebeast territory. Its like Jay secretly dont like Kanye, next thing you know he'll make a song with Cold Play. Translate en espanol NO Way Jose.
polo August 25th, 2009 at 12:12 AM
word man .. now that i think about it ... he prolly brushed ye off about rapping cuz he knew ye would overshaddow him ... thats why he tried to get him to stick to the beats.

I agree. I like Jay but I feel like he wants more credit than he deserves. Kanye should be on this track with Jay. Also Jay wore baggy jeans like a month a ago. Kanye has been "off that" years now. Same thing with the rims. Remember when Kanye said "I'm not really in to rims and all that" on the Throw some D's version he did a few years back.Kanye is always first then Hova Follows
