Joe Biden, the presumptive Democratic nominee for 2020, said on Thursday that he believes Trump will attempt to "kick back the election."

During an online fundraiser, perNBC News, Biden also criticized Republicans at large for making voting increasingly difficult during a time when it should be made easier than ever.

"Mark my words, I think he is going to try to kick back the election somehow, come up with some rationale why it can't be held," Biden said, adding that Trump and company have already been doing all they can "to make it very hard for people to vote" because that's "the only way [Trump] thinks he can possibly win."

Of course, there is nothing in the Constitution or by Congress that grants the POTUS the power to delay an election unilaterally. Trump, however, has been openly dismissive of Democrats' urging of an expansion of mail-in voting across the US.

Earlier this week, Timereported that the Biden campaign had refused to accept a donation from comedian Louis C.K., who admitted back in 2017 to multiple instances of sexual misconduct.

This month has also seen much discussion surrounding Tara Reade's sexual assault allegation against Biden, with particular emphasis on the handling of those accusations by mainstream publications. Reade alleges that Biden sexually assaulted her in 1993, at which time she worked in Biden's Senate office as a staff assistant. The Biden campaign has denied the accusation, saying in a previously released statement that the alleged assault "absolutely did not happen."
