United Airlines has apologized for the recent behavior of a flight attendant who was acting like she was either "drunk or stoned" on a trip taken this past Thursday from Denver to North Dakota, according to one Twitter user who was on the flight. According to Click 2 Houston, authorities (who were waiting for the attendant when the flight landed) confirmed the woman was drunk and forwarded the case to the FBI. That same attendant is reportedly being "held out of service" while the investigation is conducted.

A passenger on that flight wrote on social media, "Thanks United, for a terrifying flight! Drunk or stoned stewardess endangered everybody’s lives. I had to go to the cockpit and call the pilot and tell him they had an out of control attendant. The cops and an ambulance were waiting for her when we landed." That same passenger also wrote, "Boarding announcements were ‘if your seatbelt isn’t tight, you F^*%ed up." Those tweets appear to have since been deleted.

On Friday, United released a statement about the incident: "We are aware of a concerning incident involving a flight attendant serving on our regional service provider Trans States Airlines flight 4689. As a gesture of goodwill, we have compensated all customers aboard the flight and we apologize for any inconvenience or distress this may have caused."
