Former Playmate of the Year Karen McDougal is taking legal action so she can disclose the details of her alleged affair with Donald Trump, otherwise known as the guy we keep letting into the White House for some reason.

McDougal, who won the Playboy crown in 1998, said in a statement to the Los Angeles Times on Tuesday, that she only wants to "set the record straight" after repeated attempts of intimidation and manipulation. "[American Media Inc.] lied to me," McDougal said. McDougal has sued American Media Inc., the parent company of the National Enquirer, after her story was bought and never used back in 2016. According to McDougal, who was paid $150,000 by American Media Inc. at the time, the company worked with Trump's attorney Michael Cohen to "buy" her silence.

The suit specifically alleges that McDougal was tricked into inking the agreement by multiple parties, including her own lawyer at the time. According to the New York Times, McDougal’s current team sees the resulting contract as signed under "fraudulent" conditions. A previous report from the Wall Street Journalalleged McDougal had also been in discussions with ABC News about the story, but ultimately signed with American Media Inc., whose alleged intention was to "catch and kill" the piece.

The McDougal development arrives in the wake of a similar move by Stormy Daniels, who was found in a 2011 polygraph test to be "truthful about having unprotected vaginal intercourse with Donald Trump in July 2016." Daniels' suit is also aiming to render a nondisclosure agreement invalid because, according to Daniels' team, Trump never personally signed it

Shocking no one, Daniels' lawyer, Michael Avenatti, confirmed Monday that he had not received "a single request, not one" from Fox News regarding interviews. Watch the one he conducted with MSNBC instead.
