In some shocking news, Florida continues to be Florida. In the city of Zephyrhills, a man has been arrested for attacking another man with a machete following a road-rage incident, the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The Zephyrhills police report says that 34-year-old Jonathan Bailey was arrested following the attack, which allegedly took place outside a Walmart store. The altercation happened at around 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 30.

Bailey allegedly pulled his vehicle right up beside the victim, and "swung a sword," the arrest record explains.

Bailey, who is from North Carolina, cut the victim's right hand from his vehicle. The victim told police officers that the attack occurred just because he "cut off" Bailey earlier that evening, although it's not clear when that exactly happened. Bailey has been charged with felony aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

The machete wielder admitted to officers that he used the weapon, explaining that he attacked the man because he was supposedly following him. The person Bailey attacked, who remains anonymous, had a wound around one inch long between his thumb and index finger. He was taken to the hospital to be treated for his injuries. Bailey, meanwhile, is being held in Pasco County jail on $10,00 bail.
