Police responded to a 911 call for a domestic violence complaint at Heather Locklear's California home on Sunday night where the six-time Golden Globe nominee was then arrested for felony domestic violence and battery of a police officer. Locklear's brother had apparently made the call to authorities after arriving at his sister's home to discover the 56-year-old Melrose Place/Spin City actress fighting with her boyfriend, TMZ reports.

Reports from law enforcement explain that Locklear—who's struggled with substance abuse and a DUI arrest in the past—became uncooperative when police attempted to place her in custody, flailing, kicking and even striking three deputies. Her resistance during the arrest nabbed her the three misdemeanor counts of battery of a police officer.

This is not the first incident involving Locklear and domestic violence. Back in 2011, authorities were sent to the home of Locklear's then-boyfriend Jack Wagner where the two had been fighting. Neither sought to press charges that time, but it looks like Locklear's current partner may not be so forgiving. Police say the boyfriend "had a visible mark" at the time of the incident on Sunday.

TMZ's report says Locklear was transported Sunday night to a hospital for evaluation; CBS LA says she was taken to Ventura County Jail and posted bail early Monday.
