"Despacito" Played on 2 Calculators Sounds Way Better Than It Should

Didn't see this coming, but we approve.

I tried to avoid "Despacito" for a long as I could. I'd hear about it blowing up, either on its own or with Justin Bieber, for the better part of early 2017. I even was within earshot during the heated debate the Pigeons & Planes staff had about adding it to their Best Songs of 2017 (so far) list. I finally ended up hearing it, on accident, while hating myself while eating enjoying a shitty chicken sandwich at a local Burger King. At that point, I get what I pay for, you know?

Anyways, I understand why yesterday's reggaeton is today's pop sensation, but really, it's just a reggaeton pop smash, right? Neither are truly my cup of tea, and neither really move me... unless they are played on two magical musical calculators.

That's right, some certified genius decided to cop a pair of musical calculators (which Mashableinformed mego for $22 apiece on Amazon Japan), decided how to string together musical notes, then played the most streamed song EVER for the world to take in. Sure, it feels like someone found their way into a Nintendo cartridge, but that's the charm. And think of how amazing it'd be to be chilling in class when your friend pulls out two of these mysterious computation devices and starts going HAM on them?

What's wild is that "Despacito" isn't the only homeroom trick you can pull on these calculators. Not only can you play Smash Mouth's "All Star" on them...

But you can also play Ed Sheeran's "Shape Of You."

Adding this bad boy to our cart ASAP.
