Hunger is still a major problem in today’s world. And we’re not just talking about faceless people halfway across the globe. There are 42 million people struggling with hunger right here in the United States. That’s one out of every eight Americans—13 million of which are children.

These people who are grappling with food insecurity are the ones that Feeding America—the nation’s largest hunger-relief organization—is aiming to help. The Feeding America network is comprised of 200 food banks and 60,000 food pantries and meal programs across the country. But even with all that, the organization is still in need of much more help to accomplish its mission.

That’s why this September (a.k.a. Hunger Action Month) the Frye Company is excited to continue its partnership with Feeding America to help end hunger in the United States. Frye has a long history of giving back to the community, dating back to its founder John A. Frye. This legacy of philanthropy is at the core of Frye’s company values, and the brand is committed to carrying on the tradition with the involvement of not just its employees, but hopefully each and every Frye customer, as well.

How can you get involved? There are several ways. You can donate on Frye’s website, where every dollar you give will equate to 11 meals. You can also sign up to volunteer, knowing that every four hours of your time translates to 300 meals for those in need. And of course you can advocate and educate via social media to help drive awareness.

In addition, Frye is donating a portion of the proceeds from the sale of every item in its men’s and women’s Made in the USA Collection.
