Acocado Buns Are Trash

Avocados for the people. Universal Avocado-Care. Three produce workers in Southern California have been arrested for allegedly stealing around $300,000 worth of avocados. The three suspects were employees of Mission Produce, a massive avocado distributor. Avocados have been in high demand. According to some studies, per capita consumption of the green fruit has increased from 1.1 pounds in 1989 to seven pounds in 2014. Avocados are so high in demand that millennials have been choosing their beloved avocado toast over purchasing homes, according to one out of touch Australian columnist. The fruit has even been linked to a crime wave in New Zealand.

The suspects, Carlos Chavez, Rahim Leblanc, and Joseph Valenzuela, were reported to have sold the highly sought after fruit at discounted prices from Mission Produce's ripening facility in Oxnard, CA. The three alleged avocado thieves were found out following a tip detectives received. Ventura County Sheriff's Office has stated that the three suspects were arrested this past Wednesday. Bail was set at $250,000 each.
