Honestly I'm running out of passable porn puns, but this latest feat from self-described "leading adult entertainment platform" CamSoda is bragworthy enough to stand on its own. Daron Lundeen, CamSoda boss, announced Thursday the launch of the fresh Holo-Cam technology. As the name suggests, Holo-Cam is equal parts Star Wars and old-fashioned cam show.
"We're thrilled to announce the launch of Holo-Cam, which allows users to interact with cam girls in an immersive experience like never before," Lundeen said in a press release. "Now users can interact with cam models right in their very own environment by beaming a live cam girl through their own phone/tablet. This is a huge milestone not only for us but the industry at large, and we're excited to be leading the charge. We encourage our fans to check out the Holo-Cam shows over at CamSoda."
So how, exactly, does this revolutionary shit work? The latest in CamSoda innovation is made possible thanks to holographic imaging equipment that films cam models and then displays the captured footage on phones and tables via a 3D holographic display pyramid. Those pyramids can be found online, CamSoda notes, for "as low as $1.50."
Holo-Cam will be available for both weekly cam shows and upon special private broadcast requests. The weekly interactive shows, set to launch in the "very near future," will be free to users for the first month. The technology will be properly unveiled and demonstrated at the 2017 AVN Adult Entertainment Expo in Las Vegas from Jan. 18 through Jan. 21.
