The Dalai Lama got some good licks in at Donald Trump during campaign season, but it appears that The Donald's election victory has caused His Holiness to change his tune.

At the close of his recent trip to Mongolia, the Tibetan spiritual leader said he had "no worries" about a Trump presidency, according to the Associated Press. The Dalai Lama also said that he looks forward to meeting Trump once the Republican takes office.

Furthermore, the Dalai Lama said he was unconcerned with the raciallychargedremarks Trump made over the course of his campaign, and noted that he thinks the president-elect will "align his policies with global realities," as the AP put it. Unfortunately, Trump's stated goals for his first 100 days don't exactly stack up to that generous characterization.

Many people were confused by the Dalai Lama's super-chill response to a Trump presidency.

Some Twitter eggs took the lack of criticism as support:

Of course Dalai Lama has no worries about Trump's election because he lives in India and he's not an American citizen.

While others pointed out that His Holiness was unlikely to feel the effects of the Trump regime.
