The presidential election is inching closer, and every vote makes a difference. In light of National Voter Registration Day, Twitter has launched a new feature that will make the voter registration process as easy as sliding in someone's DMs.

To get started, a user sends a private, direct message to Twitter's @Gov account with their five-digit zip code. And in a matter of minutes, they should receive a response, which includes their state's voter registration deadline as well as a personalized link to get registered. The link will forward voters to an electronic registration form, where they can fill out the appropriate information. And when it's done, the social platform prompts voters to use the hashtag #iRegistered.

A number of celebrities have already jumped on the registration bandwagon. Katy Perry, a known Hillary supporter, tweeted using the tag. Vice President Joe Biden and La La also tweeted their status. Other voters, including Black Panther's Chadwick Boseman, Common, and CHVRCHES joined the movement using the Voter Registration Day hashtag as well.

Voter Registration Day follows the presidential debates, which kicked off with a pretty heated battle of the policies between opponents Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. While Trump slammed the Democrat for her lack of "stamina" and action over her "30-year career," Clinton didn't back down, poking holes in his policies and pointing to his past sexist comments. But according to polls, Trump seemed to have won the debate by at least a five percent margin. For those who aren't too convinced, the presidential candidates have two more debates ahead of the November election date.
