Indiana's Larry Mitchell has taken people's advice to leave the country and "go back to Africa" by starting a "Send me 'back' to Africa" GoFundMe and asking those same people to pay for his trip and then some.

Mitchell from Kokomo, Indiana wrote on GoFundMe:

"...you can help make your dream and mine come true... excepting [sic] all donations... KKK, Skin Heads and anyone else with like mind thinking are welcome to donate... Thank you.. God bless you and America... #putyourmoneywhereyourhateis."

He told the New York Daily News he moved to create the campaign upon seeing racist messages after black men Alton Sterling and Philando Castile were killed in police shootings.

"It kind of shocked me, because we just celebrated Fourth of July, and to come back the next week and see people saying 'Go Back to Africa,'" Mitchell told the New York Daily News. "If you want me to go 'back' to Africa, then pay for it."

Mitchell, 41, has raised $60 of his $100,000 goal since the fund's July 8 start date.

Responses to the fund have seen hateful comments, including one from Fedupwhiteguy who gave $5 and wrote, "you better not come back." Another person commented: "You are an idiot. You are an American start acting like it. Always trying to get free money, get a damn job and quit being an embarrassment."

But Mitchell also received messages of support with some even saying they wished they'd come up with the idea.

The New York Daily Newsreported Mitchell has never even been to Africa and has lived his entire life in Indiana. But were he to raise the money, which Mitchell said he didn't expect, he would go to Africa, although he doesn't know what country he'd go to. He said he wants to learn about Africa's culture, including its food. Mitchell also told the New York Daily News he would use the money to open a restaurant because he's an aspiring chef.
