It can be embarrassing enough to have your parents on social media, but the risk increases exponentially once you let nan and pop man the keyboard. One case study to take heed of is playing out on Splendour in the Grass' Facebook event page, where all manner of internet hell is set to break loose; grandparents from around the country are well-wishing their grandkids on their festival journey.

The posts are quickly picking up traction in the form of likes and shares as people realise that grandparents just don't understand their salutations have been broadcast to a minimum of 265,000 people.  As the roasting in the comments heats up, it's very likely that Mrs. Rob and Mrs. Bannerman are perhaps just the beginning, so you can keep an eye on all the action for yourself here.
