A woman in New York has been charged with stabbing her boyfriend after an argument over a Facebook password said police. According to police, 21-year-old Laura Montanez, from the Bronx, used a knife to fatally stab her 25-year-old boyfriend Kedwin Valerio in the chest. The stabbing occurred Sunday night at Valerio's mother's apartment, where the couple lived. Valerio's mother was reportedly not in the apartment when the stabbing happened, News 12 reported. The argument between Montanez and Valerio over the Facebook password is said to have started at around 6 p.m.

Police said Montanez grabbed a knife and stabbed Valerio when he started throwing things at her. Montanez's mother, Sandra Montanez, said that, although she didn't "condone" the stabbing, her daughter was only defending herself. She also said Valerio had been abusive during the nearly two-year relationship. "It was either her life or his," Montanez's mother said.

Montanez' mother says Montanez "didn't know she stabbed him in the heart and called police to tell them what happened. Valerio was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Montanez has been charged with murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon said police.

Facebook seems to have been involved in the deaths of two other boyfriends at the hands of their girlfriends. One woman killed her boyfriend for being on Facebook too much. And in another instance, a teen stabbed her boyfriend and confessed to the crime on Facebook in an explanation of what happened before the fatal stabbing.
