Rolls-Royce, preferred vehicle of the exceptionally wealthy and those who love Grey Poupon, has released a vision of what their ultra-luxury vehicles could look like over the next century. Spoiler: the cars won't fly, so we're going to have to keep waiting on that dream. But perhaps even better, the car is self-driving.

According to a Rolls-Royce press release, the new concept vehicle is called VISION NEXT 100 and was formally revealed to fanfare on Thursday in London. The car is also going by the "code name" 103EX.

With the Rolls-Royce VISION NEXT 100 we were mindful not to dwell on the past. We wanted to be as innovative as possible and at the same time transcend the design history of the marque.

The new design was perhaps rolled out at least in part to shake the image that Rolls-Royce vehicles are a bit on the old and stuffy side. Director of design for Rolls-Royce told Business Insider:

The press release made it clear Rolls-Royce wanted to design a car that would be stacked with anything the ultimate luxury driver could want from their car, at least in the aesthetic sense. The look of the car borrows from design visuals for luxury yachts, according to the statement.

Of course this model is just a concept (i.e. for design value funsies), so who knows if and when it will ever hit the market. But given that this car is Rolls-Royce's vision for the next 100 years, it's kind of fun to picture Kanye and Kim's great-grandchildren riding around in one of these doozies.

Rolls-Royce did not immediately reply to Complex's request for comment.
