When Bernie Sanders met with Obama last Thursday, rumor had it that he might concede and endorse Hillary Clinton. Instead, he indicated that he was staying in the fight through the D.C. primary. And even now, after the primary has passed and Clinton has won a decided victory, Sanders still hasn't said anything about backing down.

Clinton won 78.7 percent of the vote to Bernie's 21.1 and 16 delegates to Bernie's four, according to The New York Times. However, at a news conference in Washington, Sanders said he didn't plan to endorse Clinton and would continue to campaign through the convention, pushing for a “fundamental transformation” the Democratic party, The Washington Post reported.

“The American people are hurting, and they are hurting badly,” he said. “They want real change, not the same old, same old.” He also proposed changes in the Democratic National Committee's leadership.

Tuesday night, Clinton and Sanders met for an hour and a half at the Capital Hilton near the White House. A representative from the Clinton campaign told The Washington Post that the two discussed “a variety of progressive issues where they share common goals” and “agreed to continue working on their shared agenda.” However, Sanders showed no indication of conceding or endorsing Clinton.

Sanders's priorities appear to have shifted from clinching the nomination to reforming the Democratic party as a whole. “We’re going to be bringing somewhere between 1,900 and 2,000 delegates to Philadelphia, and let me tell you what they want,” he said at the conference. “They want to see the Democratic Party transformed. They want to see the Democratic Party stand up to the wealthy and powerful, and stand up for people who are hurting.”

The Clinton campaign and the Sanders campaign did not immediately return Complex's request for comment.
