As if hospitals aren't creepy enough at it is, Tacoma General Hospital in Tacoma, Wash. just had a giant snake drop out of its ceiling.

According to Q13 Fox News in Washington, a white ball python had been slithering around for an entire month before falling from the hospital's ventilation system and onto the floor. A fun shock for whoever discovered the snake.

The snake's owner had been in the hospital and brought his scaly friend along in an animal carrying case that was also filled with stuffed animals, Q13 Fox News reported. After discovering that the ball python had gone MIA, the former patient alerted the hospital, noting that he wasn't sure where exactly he'd lost track of his pet.

Lo and behold a month later, Sir Hiss decided it was time for his face to be shown again and fell from the heavens.

Tacoma resident Chris Cummings told Q13 Fox News, "The fact is that I'd be kind of awed as to why they'd bring it in... as a pet owner I have a snake of my own, but I wouldn't bring it to a hospital."

Chris has a valid point. Ball pythons do not produce venom and don't get quite large enough to be dangerous to humans. But still, please just leave any and all snakes at home. Or better yet, in the wild.

MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital did not immediately reply to Complex's request for comment.
