When people want to raise awareness for a cause, they'll typically hold protests or start online petitions. Not the couple behind Conceived in Brooklyn. Instead of going with one of those two options, they've taken it upon themselves to gallivant around New York City in vagina costumes

The team told Complex, "Conceived in Brooklyn is all about bringing awareness to women's health and reproductive issues with a specific goal to support and raise funds for 50centsperiod.org."

According to the campaign's website, the couple—who have chosen to remain anonymous—is selling the one-size-fits-all costumes they wear for $149 and donating $10 from each sale to 50 Cents. Period, an organization that provides underprivileged girls with mental and reproductive health care. According to Page Six, they've been spotted campaigning all over New York City while dressed as giant vaginas, and if their Instagram is any indication, they've really embraced the tradition of costumed people in New York posing for photos with fans.

“We’ll agree, a vagina costume can provoke an uncomfortable response. Our intent is to draw attention to a topic that many people aren’t aware of,” the couple wrote on their website, where they're taking donations along with costume orders.

And just case you're not sure why you might want to dress as a vulva, they've laid it out for you on the website: An order by July 1 will get you a costume in time for Halloween. So if you see a bunch of people dressed up as vaginas later this year, you'll know it's for a good cause. Uh, we think.
