You don't ever try to come between kids and their video games, as an armed man found out while robbing a GameStop store in Silver Spring, Maryland.

On May 20, two masked men armed with handguns entered the GameStop minutes before closing time and ordered three customers, including a 7-year-old boy, up against a wall. But according to a report released by the Montgomery County Police Department, the 7-year-old boy decided he wasn't going to sit back and comply with the robbers' request. In a surveillance video released by police, the boy can be seen taking a couple of fierce swings at one of the armed robbers without hesitation. This obviously badass kid didn't even put down the stuffed toy he was carrying at the time.

While speaking with Washington D.C. news station Fox 5, the boy's father tried to make sense of the situation:

“We didn't completely understand why. Of course, we think our son is brave and a strong kid. But we didn’t exactly know why and when we saw the tape, we saw why. Because he saw somebody who was a stranger, who seemed most dangerous to him and he tried to defend himself. I think it was his natural instinct taking over there."

Thankfully, no one was hurt during the robbery, but unfortunately, the boy's punch wasn't enough to deter the robbers from dragging him behind the counter. Police say the robbers then ordered two GameStop clerks to get on the floor while they took an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing  the scene. No suspects have been identified as of yet.

If only this kid were a few years older and a couple pounds heavier, this whole scene may have played out much differently.
