Originally, Snapchat seemed like it was going to be all about sending pics of your junk to people. Although we've come a long way from those days (studies show barely anyone is even using the app to sext anymore), you won't find many people pushing the limits of what they can do with the app as far as the animator MysteryGuitarMan, who took the painstaking time to create a short animated film with it.

Using a few pieces of fruit and more than 2,364 screenshots of individual snaps, he and his team created "8-bit Snapchat," a short ode to old-school video games that finds a piece of fruit on a journey to take down his fruit enemies as he levels up to some extremely catchy music.

If you really want to know all about how this video was made, the creator even responded to questions about its creation on Reddit where he said all it took was, "some fruits, Snapchat, and a LOT of free time," according toThe Daily Dot.

Don't feel bad. I'm sure your friends are enjoying those snaps of your dog asleep on the couch.
