Some weird things have come out of California (like a KKK member stabbing someone with the American flag during a rally) but this latest might have you scratching your head because it sounds straight out of a cartoon.

A woman led officers on a high-speed chase in a van painted exactly like the "Mystery Machine" from the popular Scooby-Doo franchise, BuzzFeedreports. It all began when Redding Police tried to apprehend 51-year-old Sharon Kay Thurman who was wanted by authorities for violating her parole.

Not to be taken in without a fight, she fled the uniformed gang’s clutches and nearly hit four cars after speeding through a red light. She eventually made her way to the highway and channeled all seven Fast and Furious films by going about 100 miles per hour. Authorities lost her at one point during the chase but someone from a California Highway Patrol helicopter says they saw her leave the "Mystery Machine" behind and escape on foot.

According to the Redding Police Department, her whereabouts remain a mystery. Perhaps they should call in the Scooby Gang. They can even use her vehicle, which is currently impounded.
