When former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton updated her Twitter avatar on Saturday to reflect the Kwanzaa holiday, the Internet wanted none of it.

The Democratic presidential candidate changed her "H" campaign symbol to look like a Kwanzaa candle holder in honor of the holiday's start on Dec. 26. She also tweeted a Kwanzaa message to her followers:

Wishing everyone the best this Kwanzaa. To all celebrating—Bill and I send you our warmest wishes. -H

Black Twitter accused Clinton of pandering to black voters and coined the hashtag #NewHillaryLogo for their responses. People started making their own takes on Clinton's logo, making fun of her out-of-touch attempt to show solidarity with black America. The responses ranged from hilarious to barbed:

If Team Hillary doesn't stop it with this logo... #Kwanzaa pic.twitter.com/rr4f4C9vxT

We've seen a bunch of Hillary logos but I think this one is the only one we can agree on. pic.twitter.com/4AFdcL6ZOw
Enough is enough! Hillary must be stopped. #NewHillaryLogo pic.twitter.com/RFYxDoo9Ry

Clinton also published an awkward meme about abuelas last week, causing many to accuse her of "Hispandering." Critics countered her "How do you do, people of color?" faux pas with the hashtag #NotMyAbuela.

Meanwhile, for those who take Kwanzaa as a joke, comedians Jessica Williams and Phoebe Robinson released a video that hilariously shows why it's important to support the black holiday.

"You don't have to celebrate Kwanzaa," Williams tells the sarcastic Robinson. "Just show a little respect for the 1 to 2 million Americans who do."
