Most women aren’t actually straight, at least when it comes down to what arouses them.

A new study from the University of Essex found that most women who say they are straight are truly aroused by videos of both naked men and naked women, The Telegraph reports.

Conducted by researchers at the university's Department of Psychology, the study involved 345 women. As they were shown "nudie videos," researchers analyzed the women's responses, including whether their pupils dilated while taking in the sexual stimuli. They found that 82 percent of the women were aroused by both men and women in the buff. Of the women who identified as straight, 74 percent were strongly aroused by videos of both attractive men and attractive women.

There was an exception to the pattern of bisexuality found in the study: Women who identified as lesbians did show a much stronger response to images of women than men. According to the researchers, this greater arousal by the person's preferred sex is a pattern more typically seen in men.

"Even though the majority of women identify as straight, our research clearly demonstrates that when it comes to what turns them on, they are either bisexual or gay, but never straight," Dr. Gerulf Rieger, lead researcher in the study, told The Telegraph.
