Zooey Deschanel, the star of The New Girl, covers the latest issue of Allure magazine and says things weren't so easy for her growing up.
“Girls spit in my face," she says. "People were so mean to me. I’d cry every day.”
She calls her high school "non-traditional," and says she went to Northwestern University because she wanted something a bit more routine.
"I was like, ‘It’d be cool to have a traditional college experience,’” she says. “Then I was like, ‘Oh, but none of these people understand what’s cool about me. My specialness is not appreciated in this place.’”
Hmm.

At first I felt bad, then I understood why they spit in her face. What kind of a self-absorbed, narcissistic comment was that? Lol
