It's one thing to be behind on paying your rent, it's another to light your apartment on fire. Yeah, that will definitely get you evicted.
The owner of the luxury townhouse that Courtney Love rents in New York City wants the rocker out on her ass as soon as possible, partly because she's $54,000 behind on the rent, but mostly because of a fire in the 4th floor bedroom that occurred back in June.
Whether or not the fire was accidental hasn't been officially determined, but according to the owner, the fire department had to respond to the blaze when curtains and bed linens in the room went up in flames. Now there are burn marks all over the place, and the owner thinks there's a chance to whole place may have caught fire.
Also, Love wallpapered and repainted the walls, after agreeing with the owner to not make any changes without permission. The owner claims it will cost $100,000 to restore the townhouse to its original state.
Damn.
