Nothing is sacred. Not even an alleged Marilyn Monroe sex tape.
Jezebel reports, via Forbes, that a Spanish man has in his possession a 6 and a half minute video of Marilyn having sex on camera. The collector, Mikel Barsa, told the media in Argentina that the tape is authentic and that he wants half a million dollars for it.
Apparently the tape is actually a copy of a 16mm sex film that he brokered with a European magazine back in 1997. That film went on to sell roughly 600,000 copies before another collector bought the film for $1.2 million. Copies of that tape are reportedly still circulating online (*opens up bittorrent*).
Scott Fortner, a Marilyn Monroe expert, says the tape is fake.
"That's not Marilyn," he says. "The chin is not the same, the lips are not the same, the teeth are not the same. Marilyn was a tiny little thing. And I know that for a fact. I own her clothing."
