As screenwriter Diablo Cody celebrates her 32nd birthday today, she can also toast to the fact that she's already won an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for Juno (in 2007), written a few more feature films, including the forthcoming Jason Reitman film Young Adult, and created her own Showtime series, The United States Of Tara. And to think, she used to disrobe for tips, before Hollywood came a-knocking. Suffice it to say, the former stripper turned Writer's Guild chot-girl made her meteoric rise to success look especially easy.
But she isn't the only one who has swiftly stepped away from the pole and into the paparazzi's focus. From rapper's girlfriends to pornographic actresses to reality TV stars, a number of female celebrities started off in a gentleman's club before quickly gaining national notoriety. Though some of them may wish to leave their tip drills in the past, we're here to honor them—thank us later. Grab your singles as we count down the 10 Hottest Strippers Turned Celebrities.

Wow - I guess your definition of celebrity and mine (and probably almost anyone else's) are 100% different (with exception to Lady Gaga).
