It seems a little silly to designate one specific day to kids, doesn’t it? Yet, that’s exactly what today, June 1, is meant to honor. Referred to as International Children’s Day, the first of this month is a time for parents to appreciate their offspring, which should really be an everyday thing, no? It’s similar to that argument bitter women have against Valentine’s Day, the one where they complain that “Valentine’s Day should be every day of the year.” That’s what they say, isn’t it? We’re usually just yes-ing single ladies to death on February 14 in hopes of turning holiday scorn into homemade porn.

But we digress. Though International Children’s Day may seem like a superfluous occasion, famous parents should most definitely acknowledge its meaning. Growing up with a paparazzi-magnet of a mother or father can’t be easy, especially if the kids are the types to shun cameras and try to remain as anonymous as humanly possible (good luck with that).
