After giving birth to twins on Saturday, Mariah Carey and her husband Nick Cannon have finally revealed the names of their newborn daughter and son. Mariah made the announcement earlier today via Twitter with a link that explained the decision making process behind each name. So, without further ado, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon present: Monroe Cannon (daughter) and Moroccan Scott Cannon (son).
According to Carey's official website, here's what Nick and Mariah inspired to name their son Moroccan: "The top tier of Mariah’s New York City apartment is called the Moroccan Room, because of the Moroccan-inspired decor." The article goes on to explain that "Monroe was named after Marilyn Monroe, who has been an inspiration to Mariah her whole life."
